Bulgogi. React. Tree sketch.

Embracing change as I move out of my comfort zone. A personal life update.

Hello Oncer,

We’re finally settled into our new apartment and are slowly discovering the neighborhood. We've already found a lovely Japanese restaurant and even an enchanted forest just a few blocks away.

On Monday, on our casual grocery hunt at Billa, I had a crazy idea: to prototype the React version of Once UI and release it publicly to validate our approach to product development. I’m four days in, and the results are very promising. I almost have the entire structure for the app prepared, which includes a customization interface and the base structure of the design system with a few crucial components. I'll probably share a video of the progress in next week’s newsletter.

On another note, I wanted to bring back some creative practice into my routine. It's not much to begin with, but spending even a couple of hours with a notebook, detached from tech, is more meaningful than the result itself.

Confinity’s new landing page, a project I’m involved in as a founding designer, was released recently. Confinity aims to redefine social connections in the digital space, bringing back genuine, meaningful interactions. I strongly recommend keeping an eye out and sign up for the waitlist!

I usually send these emails on Thursdays, so I don’t get a chance to wish you a happy and relaxing weekend. Well, not this time. Have fun, everyone, and try to reduce your screen time for the next couple of days—your future self will appreciate the moments you spend outside :)

Best,Lorant
