Double angus cheddar. Career advice. My vision.
Hey, I dinged. I'm 30.
If you've missed it, I recommend reading my philosophy and mission from the previous weeks' newsletters. It may provide context for the vision I'm about to share.
I envision a world built on the harmony of technological advancement and sustainability. Technology has indeed brought us remarkable innovations that have improved our lives. However, it is also responsible for a wide range of issues and conflicts we face today.
I believe our society needs to transition from its current consumption-based ideology to a less materialistic way of living.
How is this possible?
I believe the answer lies in creating a new generation of platforms. Platforms where the primary metric isn't numerical. Social apps that encourage us to connect with friends and family. Networking platforms that aim to involve more people in discussions, rather than just promoting influencers. Learning platforms that offer accessible and affordable education.
Our world currently teeters between stagnation and misguided progress. It should be our primary focus to steer back in the right direction.

I’ve just turned 30 recently. Celebrated like this, as a responsible adult:

With the upcoming release of UI 3, we are introducing high-level and effortless customization options, an innovative approach to managing responsive designs, and an unparalleled workflow for design and development.
We are nearing the completion of this release and hope to announce a launch date by next week.
Our team is currently revamping our landing page, preparing to unveil the first version of our platform. This platform will serve as a hub for learning and resource management, powered by Framer and FramerAuth.
I envision Once UI becoming the go-to resource for new-generation social media applications and heavy data visualizations, and potentially serving even more niches in the future. With this release, we're revolutionizing our color management in data visualization tools and introducing essential social components. These include a notifications center, a comprehensive comment system, and various other utility components.
Q&A
Every week I publish an answer to some interesting questions from the design community. Ask / Tag me on our Discord or Reddit, and it may get featured here.
“Is it still worth it to pursue a design career, or should I transition to an other field as a junior?“
If you view design as:
-> an integral part of who you are,-> a means to become a problem solver,-> an activity that inspires and motivates you,
then, by all means, pursue it relentlessly.
If breaking into the industry proves challenging, find a way to sustain yourself while you accumulate the necessary knowledge and experience. Connect with me on Discord, and I'll personally assist you in navigating your path.
However, if you see design as a way to:
-> effortlessly make a living,
-> secure an easy job that allows you to work from home,
then design might not be the right fit for you.
To be a successful designer, you need to:
-> possess a solid understanding of art principles, such as composition, color theory, and shape language,
-> have a high level of empathy to appreciate how different people perceive the world,
-> demonstrate a strong sense for technology and rational thinking.
These are diverse skills, and it's rare to find someone who excels in all of them. Typically, an artistic individual may not think in a highly rational manner, and someone who is rational might not have a strong sense of aesthetics.
